Man City striker Erling Haaland covers the Man Utd logo on a young fan’s shirt when taking a photo together.
When returning to visit his old club Bryne in his hometown of Norway, Haaland was surrounded by a group of young fans asking to take a photo with him. Among them is a fan wearing a Man Utd shirt. Haaland agreed, but after seeing this fan’s shirt, he paused for a beat, covered the logo with his hand before allowing the photo to be taken.
After taking the photo, Haaland also told the fans: “Find another shirt and wear it”.

Haaland ‘s actions caused mixed opinions. Man City fans and neutral fans think that the 22-year-old striker is just funny. But others are not satisfied, saying that Haaland is rude and disrespectful to Man Utd.
“Just leave that logo and take a picture. Two rival clubs but not enemies”, Twitter account @MadeinArsenal6 commented. Another commented: “Haaland’s shameful act. Love for children should overcome the confrontation between clubs. Haaland will never be like Rashford if comparing the way he behaves with children.”
Haaland exploded in his first season with Man City, scoring 52 goals in 53 games, making a big contribution to the club’s treble. In the English Premier League, he and his teammates overcame Arsenal in the championship race. In the FA Cup final, they beat Man Utd 2-1. And in the Champions League, Man City beat Inter 1-0 in the final to win this arena for the first time.
Haaland once faced the opportunity to join Man Utd in 2018, when his old teacher Ole Gunnar Solskjaer proposed to buy him from Molde club for about 5 million USD. But the Norwegian striker refused, to go to Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland is in Norway, after playing with the team in qualifying for Euro 2024, losing 1-2 to Scotland and beating Cyprus 3-1. He will rest for a few weeks before returning to Man City to prepare for the new season. The Etihad Stadium team will play a friendly match with Bayern on July 26.
