The Miami Dolphins, who have not yet offered quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a contract extension despite picking up his fifth-year option, are sparking trade rumors among football fans. Speculation is growing that the Dolphins may not view Tagovailoa as their long-term quarterback, leading to suggestions that they could entertain offers for the 2020 first-round pick.

Sports analyst Nick Wright proposed on FS1’s “First Things First” show that the Minnesota Vikings should consider trading for Tagovailoa, citing Miami’s offensive success under head coach Mike McDaniel. This trade idea generated a variety of reactions from fans on social media platforms.

The Minnesota Vikings have the No. 11 and No. 23 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, giving them flexibility to potentially select a quarterback. They could keep these picks, trade up for their preferred choice, or even explore acquiring a veteran quarterback like Tua Tagovailoa through a trade.

However, the likelihood of a Tua Tagovailoa trade seems low as the Miami Dolphins, who he currently plays for, have not shown any interest in trading him. Tagovailoa, at 26 years old, has a solid record and stats with the Dolphins, making it unlikely that they would consider moving on from him at this time.

It is expected that Miami will allow Tagovailoa to play out the remaining year of his rookie contract before making any decisions on his future with the team.
